PREMIER OFFICE & RETAIL SPACE

In the heart of the Westshore District

A steady thrum of life courses through the Westshore business district as over 4,000 businesses draw employees and customers to the area each day. Not only do more people work the Westshore business district than downtown Tampa, but it is also the largest office market in all of Florida.

Westshore City Center, formerly known as the Austin Center, hosts 300,000 square feet of the bustling area’s office space in its 5 office towers along North Westshore Boulevard. Ally Capital Group, a Tampa investment firm, purchased the Westshore City Center in January of 2019. Now partnered with Franklin Street, one of the fastest-growing full-service commercial real estate firms in the southeast, both teams are ready to roll up their sleeves to renovate and revitalize the 1970’s property into a prime workplace address located in the heart of the Westshore District.

The History of Westshore City Center

1960

For only 67 cents a square foot, Al Austin and his father purchased 17 acres of land between the newly built Interstate 275 and an old Army base that served as Tampa's first airport.

Al began to build office buildings off the two lane road that would become Westshore Boulevard, forever transforming the land that was once dominated by orange groves, pine forests and cow pastures.

1975

Construction of Al's buildings is completed and named the "Austin Center."

The 5 buildings total 300,000 square feet of office space across a 10.4 acre parcel.

2015

Redstone Development Group acquired the Austin Center buildings in 2015 as the second group to ever own the property.

2019

Ally Capital Group Acquires the Austin Center from Redstone Development Group.

Franklin Street is chosen as the exclusive leasing agency, property manager and insurance services provider for Austin Center. Franklin Street also relocated its headquarters to a 22,000-square-foot office space in the newly refurbished 1311 building.
